Where is the closest accommodation to Trentham Falls in central Victoria? Here are my nearby camping, homestay, and hotel suggestions and their distance to the falls. All distances below are by road to the car park at the falls. Above: Trentham Falls (Order this image) The nearest accommodation that I could find was the property Dindelong, which adjoins the access road to the Trentham Falls Scenic Reserve. I estimate this 4 bedroom house to be about a 600 metre walk to the falls, with most of that because of the long driveway. This house is isolated, with minimalist luxury inside featuring views of exposed basalt columns right outside your window, similar to what you can see at the falls but without getting wet. Remaining accommodation options are further away in town, south of the falls, discussed further below.

Above: Staying overnight in the picnic area at the Trentham Falls Scenic Reserve is not permitted (Order this image) Trentham is the closest locality to the falls, roughly 3 km to the south of the falls by road. If you would like to stay close to the falls, but also close to the village shops, here are three accommodation options either on the main street (High St) or within 250 metres of the shops (which are on High St and Market St).

There is no camping at the Trentham Falls Scenic Reserve. Bush camping is available in the Wombat State Forest at Firth Park campground. The nearest caravan park I could find was at Blackwood Mineral Springs, on the Greendale-Trentham Road (C318) on the way to Trentham, which incidentally has its own swimming hole (that I have swum in) and mineral springs (that I have tasted).
